"You are my angel!"
- Senior receiving home food deliveries
"An indigenous young man with social anxiety was reluctant to engage with youth outreach support. The Harvest Kitchen food reclamation program offered him a job and the opportunity to connect with his Outreach Counsellor who would drive with him to the grocery stores to pick up produce. This established a "non threatening" environment for him to connect with counselling support with the drive along. He felt good about himself doing meaningful work that gave back to his community members through the Harvest Kitchen program. He became more confident and took a job working on the Harvest farm."
